When Paul Eagle of Happy Hari first brought his renowned Nag Champa Gold to Western markets, it was carefully hand-rolled and contained a more modest amount of the distinctive golden powder than today’s extruded version.

Nag Champa Gold recreates that earlier style and is considered the original hand-rolled form that preceded the move to machine production. It is made by the same manufacturer that produced this exceptional incense decades ago, preserving the character and craftsmanship of the traditional recipe.

Made with a generous amount of halmaddi resin and premium-quality champaca flower oil, Nag Champa Gold has a richer and more indulgent composition than many modern Nag Champa varieties. Because halmaddi is naturally soft and highly fluid, machine production requires its quantity to be limited to avoid problems during extrusion. Hand-rolling allows a much higher proportion to be used.
